Frequently asked questions

Helpful answers for parents, teachers and young learners.

Getting started

Is AceBop free?

Yes. The current Maths, English, MTC practice and printable worksheets are free to use.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can play and print worksheets without signing up.

What ages is AceBop for?

AceBop is designed mainly for UK primary school children aged 5–11. Choose a level that feels comfortable, whatever your school year.

How do I print a worksheet?

Open Worksheets, choose Maths or English and your settings, then generate and print. For best results choose A4 paper and turn off browser headers and footers.

Games and progress

Where are my scores saved?

Game progress and preferences are saved in this browser on this device using local storage. AceBop does not currently require an account to store scores on a server.

Why did my progress disappear?

Progress can be lost if you clear browser data, use private browsing, change devices or browsers, or disable local storage. It is not currently synced between devices.

Is the Year 4 MTC the official test?

No. It is an unofficial practice activity inspired by the format of the multiplication tables check. It is not provided or endorsed by the Department for Education.

Can I use AceBop in a classroom?

Yes, for ordinary classroom and home learning. Teachers should check activities and printed questions for suitability and supervise pupils' internet use.

Do worksheets affect my game scores?

No. Generating printable worksheets does not add to or reset game progress.

Privacy and safety

Does AceBop collect children's names?

No names or account details are requested by the current learning activities. Technical requests may still be processed by the website's hosting provider; see our Privacy notice.

Are there adverts?

The current site does not intentionally include advertising or advertising trackers. If that changes, we will review the privacy information and children's protections first.
